Youth Showcase
On Saturday June 19th four girls from Girl Scout Troop 3413 donated a couple of hours to help wrap books for the Rock River Sweep Organization. Lani Morris, Sydne Robinson, Morgan Arellano, and Abigail Busching along with Troop Leader Jennifer Robinson and adult helper Margarita Arellano wrapped and packaged 140 books in just under an hour! The girls packaged the books that will be given away as door prizes at the different clean-up sites along the Rock River this year. While wrapping the books the girls got to view a map of the river, and expressed their interests in water sports such as boating, canoeing, and swimming. After the wrapping was done the girls participated in a nature scavenger hunt and enjoyed lunch provided by Subway, SuperValu, and the Oregon Church of God, who also provided the location for the event. We are very grateful for the help from Troop 3413 and hope to see them amongst the volunteers on clean-up day.
